Bespoke Motis Shelter With Solar Panels
Adapted Motis shelter designed to incorporate Zeta Specialist Lighting solar panel lighting system and PIR. The objective was to create a safe and visible space for commuters (primarily students). The solar panels, PIR system and lighting units provided a low-level light during hours set on a timer which intensified based on foot traffic. Low maintenance and self sufficient the shelter was fit for purpose and met its number one objective of creating a safe space. A comparatively more cost-effective option to photovoltaic glass the solar panels sit on top of the glass and under the glazing caps whilst the batteries are stored within the post and the PIR protrudes from the cladding on the spine beam.
